I am on the Kool-Aid wagon, I will never take another sip. I allowed peer pressure to induce me into drinking. Never again, I will be strong! What I saw was exactly what I thought I would see, before the Kool-Aid clouded my senses.

Never again..........................The Bears are who I thought they were.

I agree with Phil. though I was very bitter and still a little, my rationale says this team is up and coming. Young and cocky they just got lazy. I also like the play calling. not the coaches fault the young players wasnt executing. The vets did their part mostly minus the corner we just "paid the man" . I want the defense to stay aggressive though,

If i had to point out one weakness it would be the oline again. I just dont trust them. I dont want to hear "he holds the ball too long" BS....I remember Collinsworth tlking about Rodgers "God like accuracy" when he has 4 secs or more to throw! of course he would....every damn QB that makes it could!

im still sippin ;)

I have to disagree, I think ultimately Nagy's play calling on the final drive before the two minute warning was the difference in the game.  The packers were out of time outs. He should have ran the ball on 3rd and 2, and he should have run the ball again if needed on 4th and 2.  If he had done that and they failed to pick up the first down I would agree with you but by kicking the field goal he essentially took the final best opportunity to seal the deal out of the players hands.

ok let me rephrase....not (completely) their fault. Yes Nagy was questionable in time management, but I think I was more displeased with Fangios weak prevent type D right after half time.

I just think execution plays a bigger roll in making or breaking the Coach.  But I agree Papa in hind sight he should have ran

How good does Trubisky have to be to at least make the playoffs? Bears history left me with an astounding answer.

Chicago Bears playoff QB history is anything but impressive

The truth is the Bears are a team that has always done it the traditional way. Every single one of their playoff teams in the Super Bowl era could do two things:  it could run the ball and it could play good defense. With Jordan Howard in the backfield and the defense they have, there’s no reason to think they can’t do it again in 2018. People will argue, “No way! They can’t do it without a quarterback.”

Actually, yes they can. Here’s a look at the total QB stat lines of every playoff run the Bears made dating back to 1977.

Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD Int Y/A Y/G Rate
1977 161 305 52.8 2070 11 18 6.8 147.9 61.8
1979 195 373 52.3 2429 16 16 6.5 151.8 69.2
1984 226 390 57.9 2695 14 15 6.9 168.4 75.1
1985 237 432 54.9 3303 17 16 7.6 206.4 77.3
1986 208 415 50.1 2912 12 25 7 182 57.6
1987 272 493 55.2 3420 23 24 6.9 285 72.2
1988 248 461 53.8 3173 13 15 6.9 198.3 71.4
1990 229 430 53.3 2827 14 12 6.6 176.7 73.1
1991 286 497 57.5 3292 16 17 6.6 205.8 74.1
1994 308 502 61.4 3230 19 16 6.4 201.9 79.4
2001 315 528 59.7 3072 20 16 5.8 192 76
2005 219 418 52.4 2201 11 15 5.3 137.6 61.5
2006 282 514 54.9 3446 24 22 6.7 215.4 73.5
2010 276 466 59.2 3397 23 21 7.3 212.3 79.5
2961.92 16.64 17.71     71.55

The Bears have averaged 2,961 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in their playoff trips over the past 40 years. Now, of course, that doesn’t mean Trubisky can skate by with those types of numbers, but it does illustrate a point.

This organization is built on a foundation of knowing how to win ugly. It’s in their bones.
