All that talk of Forte getting to old is SO much like me. The mind is willing, the body ain't.

People think I am paranoid because I have so many guns. If I have guns, what do I need to be paranoid about?

The Houston Texans were in desperate need of reinforcements in their front seven after losing Whitney Mercilus and J.J. Watt so season-ending injuries on Sunday night.

After a workout with the team on Tuesday, the Texans are signing former Chicago Bears pass rusher Lamarr Houston and free agent defensive end Kendall Langford, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Houston had previous visits to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints after being released from injured reserve by the Bears in September. Houston had played in 26 games over the last three seasons due to a pair of ACL tears but had eight sacks for Chicago in 2015 when he played a full 16 game schedule.

Houston didn’t miss a game in any of his first four seasons with the Oakland Raiders. He’s recorded 25 sacks in parts of seven seasons with Oakland and Chicago.

Houston is desperate!

Funny how that article failed to mention that his first ACL tear came, from celebrating a sack against 3rd stringers, in a 50 point blow out!

Ravens waived offensive lineman Dieugot Joseph.

Time to bring him back to the Bears? He was cut before Kush hit the IR list.

Free agent cornerback Tracy Porter was arrested on Tuesday on charges of domestic battery and drug possession.

According to Mike Triplett of ESPN.com, Porter was arrested in Baton Rouge, La. after an incident on Oct. 5 involving his girlfriend at a truck-driving school.

Porter allegedly had an argument with his girlfriend that turned physical. She alleges that Porter grabbed her and pushed her against a vehicle before grabbing her around the neck and face. Porter doesn’t dispute he grabbed her but said it was in self-defense.

Porter had a firearm, marijuana and acetaminophen (a.k.a Tylenol) in his possession. He was charged with battery of a dating partner, possession of marijuana and intent to distribute a schedule 2 drug.

Bills sign Deonte Thompson

The Bills signed wide receiver Deonte Thompson on Tuesday. Buffalo released running back Joe Banyard in a corresponding move.

Thompson, 28, worked out for the Bills earlier in the day. He was cut by the Bears last week.

He spent the past two seasons with the Bears, appearing in 28 games with nine starts. Chicago used him primarily as a kickoff returner, with 60 returns for an average of 24 yards per return.

Thompson also saw time as a reserve receiver, making 35 catches for 455 yards and three touchdowns.

He played one game with the Bills in 2014.

Wide receiver Jordan Matthews remains a question mark for Sunday’s game in his return from thumb surgery two weeks ago.

No chance of him returning to the Bears now. Still do not understand this move with Wheaton banged up yet again.

Right there with you Shadow. I have yet to hear any sane reason for cutting Thompson. It's almost as if the goal is to ensure that there is not a single competent WR on the field.

Jay Cutler out 2-3 weeks with cracked ribs.

$10 million, for 6 games. Not bad pay fro an old retired guy! Miami claims it is now Moore's chance. Should they have just gone this way in the beginning?

Jay will likely be outplayed by Moore. He had his chance tom rewrite his legacy, to show that he was better than the player Chicago made him. And didn't. Pretty much looked the same.
