I was reminded today that it was 4 years ago we lost Jimmy Mac (Chris). One of the reasons I have not scrapped this heap of a platform and started us over on something better, is the thought of losing so many memories all over again. Memories of friends that are no longer here.
Chris was a big part of why these boards managed to grow to a point they could be sustained. We often did not see eye to eye, but that taught me that this place would become boring if we all just sat around agreeing with each other.
Raising one to you, Chris
Train like you are 2nd, but play like you are 1st.
Tough read...such a great memorial...thanks for sending it my way Cal. As a guy that knew Chris for more than 40 years (damn, come to think of it, it is far closer to 50 than 40) I can tell you that everything you guys said in this thread is absolutely true. God bless you all......I miss my friend!
Butkus never wore an earring
It's still difficult for me to revisit this thread. I've tried to go back from the beginning and read through all the posts, but it's just too hard.
Man, I wish he was still here...
When you bleed, make it orange and navy blue

Jimmy Mac sure made things humorous......
Too bad we can't go back and revisit those times......
Bear Down my Bear Brethren!
Not gonna lie, seeing this thread again brought a tear to my eye......
Butkus never wore an earring
Never had the pleasure of meeting him, but he sounded like a really cool guy. RIP
Keep Calm, and listen to Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath.
Not gonna lie, Jimmy Mac and I fought like Cats and Dogs. (He even banned me once!)
But hey, it was all good!
A messge board is only as good as its differences, that lead to debate.
P.S: I miss BM1 and JJ-30 too. Not to forget Navy & Orange....
