I wish that my first post on this forum carried better news, but that is not the case... Jimmy Mac is back at Loyola in pretty tough shape. I know that you all have been following his battle with lymphoma, and sadly the disease and all of its complications has returned. We have established a GoFundMe site to help support Chris and his family through this ordeal. You can get to this site at: https://www.gofundme.com/ef8emu58. Your prayers and generosity are greatly appreciated. Jimmy told me how much you all mean to him and I know that he appreciates all of the support you have given him throughout this fight. God Bless! Chuck

Well that sucks. Keep your head up Jimmy.
I got to share with you, I was down right scared to open this thread when I saw a new member had authored it......... so although the news at this time is not great at all, I'm actually somewhat relieved. Thanks for keeping us posted, and let Chris know that we are all still here praying for him and his family. Not a day goes by we don't think of him.

Prayer and Novena to Saint Peregrine
https://www.ewtn.com/Devotionals/novena/peregrine.htm
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.
