didn't he just sign 1 last year or the year before? I get the looking out for my family but to demand another contract is just dumb...I hate when these players ask for another contract before theres is up...I get it if they would ask with a year remaining on their contracts but with 2 years left you should have the decency to wait another year

Jaguars release DE Jason Babin (7.5 sacks) 3 months after signing him to a three year deal. Wonder if he had any guaranteed money?

The release of Babin is a bit of a head scratcher................. there must be something to the story that no one is talking about, undisclosed injury, off field issues.......something.

I have to admit, I am a little surprised he actually pulled the plug. I guess he has his money and is ready to start his post football party.

There is an article in Forbes actually, that goes into depth about his financial situation.  Apparently he has been very wise with his money unlike a lot of professional athletes in his position and has set himself up to enjoy his life after football with no worries what so ever.  Something you would think would be pretty easy to do given what these guys make in their careers, yet most seemed to just spend it as fast or faster than it came in.
