Another name I should have added was Ozzie Newsome, I would be excited to give him control of the rebuild. I believe he is only 65 with an excellent credentials. He retired in 2018 as the GM for the Ravens. He could be possibly tied to the Ravens in some sort of contract language

Cob, I think Trace would be a fine choice. I did not include him on the original list because of all the press about him. I think Teddy should be removed now and someone should take over. You can't hire a GM and coach until Ted's replacement is in place. We are running out of time to get a good candidate who is on another teams. George don't delay this decision get Phillips out of the way, and get his replacement in place.

Yes, this is how it should be done! But don't you just have that never ending doubt in the back of your mind, it will be the complete opposite. Us fans have seen this happen too many times over the years!

We expect Nagy to be relieved soon from coaching the Bears. If Pace is not let go at the same time he will probably be put in charge of the Arlington expansion and  not have any responsibilities for football operations If he is kept in the organization. My hope is Pace goes at the same time.

I think it is more likely that if Ted Phillips does not retire entirely. He will take on the Arlington Project. If Pace is not fired he may very well move into Teddy's current role and he will hire a new GM and let that guy hire the new Head Coach. Then thre rebuild of the Bears can be done by Football guys and not Bean Counters.

I hope if Pace stays he is put in charge of Ticket Sales. Time to cut your losses with Pace. I hope the Bears have their new structure ready to go Monday, and will announce after Monday.

I hope the Bears pick a new operating structure to right the ship. We need people who are not afraid to make the tough decisions on current Bear players. I hope players with high salaries and minimal production will be let go (Goldman, Graham,Dalton, etc). I know it will hurt to lose some fan favorites (Hicks, Danny T., etc). Tough decisions need to be made to right the ship. It is hard to let players go, but it will need to happen.

Olin Kreutz say he would move Jenkins to Right tackle, get an above average LT in free agency, Move Borom to right guard, sign Daniels and move to Center and keep LG as is. I think he may have something with the moves. We have too many offensive lineman with potential, who have not shown up to demonstrate they can consistently play above average.

Most reporters are saying there is better than a 60/40 chance Pace survives this firing period coming up soon.

Imo I think that will be a huge mistake once again by the McCaskey brain trust.

The Bears need a total teardown including the upper management!

I'd be in favor of this except.......have the Bears figured out why Daniels struggled playing center his first go round?
