Covid Reserve List
0

Another Bears player has landed on the Covid Reserve list.

Last week it was Damien Williams which put the Bears in a bind with Montgomery on IR.

This week we have new one that impacts their next game.

The last thing the Chicago Bears needed was to take a tough blow to their defense with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers waiting this weekend. Sadly, this team has a difficult time with good fortune of late. After some tough bounces on Sunday against Green Bay, the team found out that pass rusher Robert Quinn has contracted COVID-19. This landed him on the Reserve/COVID list on Tuesday.

What makes this hurt even more is the other losses already suffered.

The Chicago Bears likely won’t have defensive end Akiem Hicks in this game after he seemed to re-aggravate his groin injury against Green Bay. Also, don’t forget they lost backup linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu for the season to a torn pectoral. Now with Quinn going down? The pass rush is getting dangerously thin. Khalil Mack and Trevis Gipson will likely be the two starters on Sunday.

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy tests positive for COVID-19, 4 other players on COVID-19 list

KelvinLoyola  15 hrs ago

As if things could not get more difficult for the Chicago Bears, they have, the team announced that head coach Matt Nagy has tested positive for COVID-19, and that the team will now be coached in the meantime by Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor. The Bears sit third in the NFC North and have a 3-4 record in the NFL season.

On Sunday, Nagy’s last game as coach before testing positive, the Bears were defeated by Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady 38-3. The Bears have lost three of their last four and on Sunday did it minus 4 players who were not available for the game due to being on a COVID-19 list.

The Chicago Bears will now enter a heightened state of protocol to avoid any further positive cases. Here are the Chicago Bears players who absent at the moment.

Along with head coach Matt Nagy, right tackle Elijah Wilkinson, rookie linebacker Caleb Johnson, tight end Jimmy Graham and edge rusher Robert Quinn are all absent and on a COVID-19 list. Coach Nagy will need to produce two negative tests in 24 hours to get back on the field.

Running back Damien Williams was the first on the list but returned to action Sunday, and the above four mentioned players and coach are the team's new listed players. The Bears will take play the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday at home.

Bills put Mitchell Trubisky on COVID-19 reserve

Posted by Michael David Smith on November 6, 2021, 4:16 PM EDT

Bills backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has been placed on the league’s COVID-19 reserve list.

The Bills announced the move today, and it will naturally lead Bills fans to fret about other players on the team, whose own front office has expressed concern about the low vaccination rate among players. But at this point there’s no indication that any players other than Trubisky are heading to the COVID-19 reserve list.

To take Trubisky’s place, the Bills called up quarterback Davis Webb from the practice squad to the active roster.

Also elevated from the practice squad was tight end Quinton Morris. Offensive lineman Jamil Douglas was called up from the practice squad as well, while offensive lineman Jon Feliciano was placed on injured reserve.
