Is Nick Foles the Third best Bears QB in history?
0

Assuming #1 is Sid Luckman and #2 is Jim McMahon, who would be considered the #3 best QB in Bears history?

Here are the candidates I can come up with:

Jim Harbaugh

Erik Kramer

Jay Cutler

Kyle Orton

Mike Tomczak

Bobby Douglass

Bill Wade

It's a horrible list. Foles won't have to do much to become the #3 best in Bears history

No takers? Fine. Let me add more wood to the fire.

Foles was the QB that knocked the Bears out of the 2018 playoffs with a clutch drive with under two minutes remaining,

On  December 22, 2013, Foles and the Eagles gave the Bears their third worst loss in history by winning 54-11.

If that doesn't make you appreciate Foles being on the Bears instead of playing against them, I don't know what will.

Jim Miller and Jay Cutler are still ahead of Foles.

If Foles finishes the season and gets us in the playoffs I will have to re-evaluate. The bar is pretty low.

Train like you are 2nd, but play like you are 1st.

But seriously, I really hope that Foles has found a home. I would love to see an Alex Smith type of later career awakening. I think he has that potential. I think that between him and Nagy we might have a coach/QB duo that can mesh and succeed.

Not there yet, but there are signs it could be growing. I wish I have not been burned so many times though. Still hard in the wait and see.

I'll go along with Jim Miller, but jay? He set the franchise back a decade. jay belongs in the bottom 10.
