The Jets are sinking fast. His cap number is shrinking by the week. La'Veon Bell could probably be obtained for a lower round pick. Good runner and receiver, bad attitude but maybe he's been humbled by his experience on the Jets and willing to be a team player. Of course, with the OL in such a mess, it might be that even a runner such as Sweetness would be pedestrian but maybe he'd jump start the running game.

The RB situation is kind of like the QB situation. Until you have an established RB who has had success previously, there is no real way to know if it's the o-line, the play calling or the RB himself. We can speculate and make educated guesses, but there's just no way to know. Thats why I wouldn't be opposed to brining Bell in.

Jets would have to eat some of that 6M salary before I'd get interested!

Matt Nagy: "I know we need to run the ball more. I'm not an idiot."

Bell might be available for a very low round pick or a mediocre player, that's how much the Jests want to get rid of him. If cut before next season, a team would save 9.4 million against the cap. I'm sure some type of re-negotiation would also be possible.

He is certainly the exact prototype that Nagy needs. Before losing Cohen I would have said no. But if the money can be firured out I would not be against it. Right now we are an injury away from having Nall being our starting RB. Thats scary!

Jets have kicked Bell to the street, so that changes the financial side of signing him. He can now be signed for the league minimum.

I'd have to think about his disgruntled attitude and have a serious conversation with him before putting his signature on paper.

Yeah, the fact that the Jets were willing to eat that money, that really raises a huge red flag for me!

I don't think Gase ever figured out how to use him correctly. With Nagy's issues with the running game, I don't know that he would either but the Bears are playoff contenders, that has to have a certain attraction for Bell. The contract's a non-issue now.

The days of the Bears trading draft picks, especially high ones, for established stars has to be over. The Mack trade has worked out alright. The Cutler trade didn't bring the results the team hoped; the Bears have wandered in a QB desert for longer than the Israelites did after fleeing Egypt (40 years). Now they need to play the game of accumulating picks as many draft picks don't pan out and it becomes a numbers game. They don't even have to expend a lower round pick on Bell nor would they on the free agent OL still available to replace Daniels so it works out.

My concern is that he become a locker room cancer. As time goes on, you will see the real value of nick Foles is in the locker room. I don't know how he does it, but I have seen several teams he has been on perform way above their ability based on this almost cult like, "belief in each other" thing he does. If one guy doesn't buy in, like Gurley in ST. Louis and Jalen Ramsey in Jacksonville, the whole thing blows up. Right now, i see it developing as I saw it in Philly, and I don't want to mess that up with a "me me me" malcontent.
