Well we had visitors this weekend. They stayed at a B&B run by some friends of ours. We got together most days to socialize and eat food I prepared. So last Saturday we had pulled pork sandwiches and cole slaw. Saturday we had homemade pizza. Sunday I grilled marinated pork steaks (Marinated in Calvados apple Brandy, garlic, herbs and spices with some orange juice added in), also on the grill was Turkey breast steaks liberally coated with pepper, thyme and basil. We also had fresh sweet corn, no not my own yet, with butter, salt and pepper. So Monday rolled around and they wanted to thank us for such great hospitality. We went to the local Gasthaus"der Brautoni'" which is the first time i have been to a restaurant since all this stuff began. We had reservations in the Beer Garden, so masks only were needed to pass through the restaurant itself. Once in the Beer Garden, being outside, no masks were required. All tables are set up quite far apart, so we were socially distanced from the other guests. Food was good and the beer was cold. All in all it wasn't too bad. Wearing a mask is not really all that bad.
With the fourth coming up, I hope you all practice safe social interactions and all come out on the 7th healthy and happy!
